Information about Early Years Gymnastics
577_s.jpg
The club are very proud of the gymnastic work we offer to the youngsters and families of the very young children in our community. The programme that we have is delivered by fully qualified gymnastic coaches who are totally committed to the development of the very young children in their care.

Our classes are structured to deliver a variety of experiences, in a unique, purpose built gymnastic facility, which is safe, challenging, affordable and a child friendly atmosphere. Much of the equipment has been purchased specifically for the children to help them in their early years in the world.
What is on offer you ask?

678_s.jpgWe take children from the age of eight weeks up to about fourteen months in our Fun-4-Baby sessions when they attend, with their parent(s), to gain experiences in physical development, education, social skills, bonding with other babies and much more.

From fourteen months to three years old we offer Fun-4-Toddler sessions, also with the parent accompanying the child where their physical development is taken to a new level and their confidence and self esteem is given the opportunity to develop more as an individual.579_s.jpg

From the age of three until they are old enough to start school we offer our Pre-School classes for youngsters to improve their coordination skills in a whole variety of structured gymnastic and fun activities under the watchful eye of our highly qualified and enthusiastic coaching team for this age range. During the Pre-School sessions the children are supervised in the gymnastic training hall, while their parents wait outside in the canteen area and have the opportunity to share their experiences of parenthood with other parents. This is of great benefit to the parents and many lasting friendships are made.

During all the sessions a calming atmosphere is prevalent, often with music playing in the background. As the children move into the Pre-School classes the music is invariably a series of Nursery Rhymes, which the coaches and children sing together at the start and end of a forty-five minute session. The educational aspects of the gymnastic work includes shapes, counting, play techniques, sharing with others, respect for each other, listening skills and enhancing their vocabularies. Together with the advantages of growing physically stronger through exercise, improving coordination for the whole body development and meeting other children, the experiences of the gymnastic work gives those who attend a really good start before they go to school.

For those parents with young children, who may be a little timidGym-pix-112.jpg or shy, why not find out about our ‘Parent and Me’ slots when you come along and simply, together take full advantage of these excellent facilities, meet the coaches in an informal situation and then consider enrolling for the types of sessions mentioned above. Don’t leave it until your children are too old to attend any of these early year classes, because you cannot turn the clock back on age and might regret missing out on these opportunities.

We also have Recreation al Gymnastics classes for 5 years+ after school and on Saturdays, Trampolining for 6 years + after school and on Saturdays, Youth Sessions (age restrictions apply), Adult classes, Street Dance classes, Cheerleading and Kickboxercise groups!

REMEMBER every time you post anythingINSIST ON USING STAMPSIt is time that stamp collectors and stamp users fought back. We are not given the option normally by the Post Office. They want us all to use computer generated labels. But if you ask nicely you'll be able to get good commemoratives and possibly even a circular date stamp! Depending on service used. This will in the long run help our vast number of charities raise money by improving the content of the stamps donated to them.
